The ghetto uprising

This is what he said thirteen years ago!

Gaza was “an open air prison”.

A pressure cooker.

To expect it not to explode out, was like expecting a ticking time-bomb not to go off.

When a pressure cooker explodes and the content goes all over your face, the natural and instant reaction is to curse the contents inside that are all over your face!

In actual fact, the cooker pressure user is really the root cause.

This rinse and repeat cycle of violence will never end until there is an equally sovereign Palestine.

“Equally Sovereign” is something that we often say is crucial in all this.

Otherwise, not much will change.

People often forget, Hamas only formed in 1987.

Who was Israel blaming for lack of peace then? It was always X, Y, Z.

The Palestinians then try for a peaceful protest movement, in the form of BDS. Hmmmmmm, even that is problem for the Israelis and Zionists, and they seek to get it banned.

They leave no other avenues for the Palestinians, other than the avenue of violence.

This is not to absolve the perpetrators of violence, though. Because they still have a choice.

The options are permanent subjugation and state terror from Israel, or have a ghetto uprising. They chose the latter, just like many Jews opted for under Nazi subjugation.
