Young David Teeger made incendiary comments in October last year.
David Teeger was awarded the “rising star” award at a Jewish awards ceremony in South Africa, last year in October.
In his acceptance speech he said:
“Yes, I’ve been [given] this award, and yes, I’m now the rising star, but the true rising stars are the young soldiers in Israel. And I’d like to dedicate it to the State of Israel and every single soldier fighting so that we can live and thrive in the Diaspora.”
“Every single soldier” he said, which includes these:
These two are goading the Palestinians from a child’s bedroom after murdering the entire family.
Three cretins here enjoying the bombing of civilian Palestinian homes.
A group of mongrels celebrating the death and destruction of Palestinian lives and homes.
Considering Teeger’s comments had evidently become highly incendiary in the minds of any rational and moderate human, Cricket South Africa (CSA) relieved him of his captaincy duties but still kept him in the squad.
CSA statement:
This caused a right old kerfuffle amongst the extremist Zionist community and amongst many Jewish extremists all around the world, who yelled “anti-Semites” towards the CSA.
Which could not be further from the truth – why would they appoint a Jewish kid to begin with if they were Jew haters?
Those who say South Africa is against Jews, are spreading malicious lies. And the way it has handled Teeger after his unfortunate comments, is an example of the care it takes of its Jewish community.
Teeger was understandably under intense spotlight after the comments he made, and with the Under 19 cricket world cup set to commence in South Africa, the South Africans have done the right thing and taken the young kid out of the spotlight by relieving him of the captaincy.
It is great man management skills shown by the CSA – it is something Sir Alex Ferguson (famous for his management skills) used to do a lot while he was the manager at Manchester United football club.
Young boys like Teeger will make mistakes, it is how they are handled after they make those mistakes that is critically important.
CSA should be commended for the way they have handled this.
Hopefully the young boy will learn from this experience, and next time not be so forthcoming in supporting genocidal maniacs.
