Chief UK Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis’s hypocrisy – exposed. As new reports emerge that indicate the father of the two deceased sisters Rabbi Leo Dee, supports the theocratic, extremist Israeli government

As an occupied people, Palestinians have a legal right to defend themselves and fight away the illegal occupation.

This is what the Chief Rabbi said in 2014 when Israel bombed Gaza – killing hundreds of children, and even more women and men, not to mention the thousands who were maimed and seriously injured: “Loss of life in Gaza causes deep pain but unfortunately wars are not clean, wars are ugly”.

The Rabbi is correct – but he’s just not consistent.

In light of recent events, paying tribute to the Dee sisters on Twitter, Chief Rabbi Mirvis said: “No words can describe the depth of our shock and sadness at the heart-breaking news of the murder by terrorists in Israel of Maya & Rina Dee, daughters of Rebbetzen Lucy, who is in a critical condition & Rabbi Leo Dee, my dear colleagues.

They were much loved in the Hendon and Radlett communities in the UK as well as in Israel, and well beyond. We pray for a refuah shelema for Rebbetzen Lucy and also for those injured in the terrorist attack yesterday on the promenade in Tel Aviv.”

While reports have recently emerged that indicate the father of the two tragically deceased sisters, Rabbi Leo Dee supports the recently elected theocratic and extremist Israeli government. He is reported in the Daily Mail as saying: “I am more worried about the tensions between Jews in Israel. Some people think that the new religious government will suppress minority rights and become totalitarian. But this is not a risk as Judaism is about balancing love and justice.“

The Dee patriarch moved his family to Israel in 2014, when Maya, 20, and Rina, 16, would have been minors.
