Two Palestinian resistance fighters were murdered yesterday by Israeli terrorists.

The definition of a terrorist is not determined by what clothes they wear, or whether they carry out the attacks with the backing of the state.

Terrorism is defined by actions.

The Palestinians have a unequivocal legal right to fight back the brutal and illegal Israeli occupation. Those attacking the resistance, be it in Palestine or in Ukraine, are the terrorists.

What we learn from these murders:

  • That Israeli terrorists in uniform are free to kill

  • The Israelis can brutally shoot Muslim Palestinians at point-blank range without any legal recourse

  • And millions of people will still excuse the Israeli terrorists, and blame the Muslim Palestinian victims for trying to resist and fight away their illegal occupiers

There is an abhorrent expectation by far too many people that the Ukrainians have a legal right to fight back their illegal occupiers – but the Palestinians should just be obliging victims, and not have the same legal right to fight back their illegal occupiers.

Applying one set of rules in one place, and applying a different set of rules in another place – based on the same international law, is utter folly and a dereliction of universal morality.
