Before Israel’s ongoing genocide of Gazans, I used to believe in its right to exist – I don’t think I do anymore. This does not mean that Jews should be denied their right to self-determination. Self-determination can happen and flourish within another state.
A country that perpetrates such horrors after being invented into Palestine, loses the right to exist in this overall context, in my view.
Whilst the two-state solution still seems to be the most likely outcome.
I’m personally moving more towards favouring one Palestinian state, with equal rights for all. Where Jews Muslims, Christians, etc. all have an equal right to self-determination.
With equal civil and political rights.
Israel is a failed Zionist experiment.
You have to call it that, because it’s never been able to live as a peaceful state in that region.
Israel also rejects a one state solution with equal rights for all.
So, it’ll have to be a Palestinian state with equal rights for all.
Under one state called Palestine.
This, in the end, may well be the only only peaceful solution left for peace seeking Jews, Muslims, Christians, etc. and their allies.
