Does a swastika on display need its context taken into account? Zionist extremists say no, moderates say yes, and I explain why

Maus, a graphic “novel” about the Holocaust, it depicts Spiegelman interviewing his father about his experiences as a Polish Jew who survived the Holocaust.

The swastika most definitely requires its context taken into account – Jews and Holocaust survivors have always used it and continue to use it today to depict the crimes of the Nazis.

Today, some pro-Palestinians use it to depict the crimes of Zionism. An ideology behind the genocide in Gaza, and decades of terrorism and oppression against the Palestinians.

The key context to look for is if it is used to promote extremism – or to denounce extremism.

To suggest its context should not be taken in to account is simply extremists trying to take way your rights of freedom of expression.
